I really enjoyed exploring the Image generator and mashups. I had no idea how much is available online. My class will definitely be exploring and using the various websites throughout the year. There is so much that we can do with these websites in the curriculum. I decided to play around with glogster and wordle. I have never used either program and I found them very easy to use. I decided to use these programs as a get to know you activity, but these programs are not restrained to only this activity. I could have my students use the wordle program with vocabulary words, spelling words, writing activities such as poems, and so much more. Glogster would be great to use doing research projects. These programs are so easy and fast I could have the students create and present short presentations to the class.
I love what you did with Globster. Your pics are so cute! You have definitely inspired me to give it a try. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a super idea about having the students create a Glogster poster as a getting-to-know-you activity! They could even add some text boxes to describe the importance of the pictures they choose. Your poster is great and your puppy is adorable!!
